Smart glass is the glass, which’s transparency can be controlled. It is mat in initial state and transparent if it’s under voltage.
This kind of glass is usually used to make screens, partition and stained-glass window. In the initial state it can be also used as a projector screen. Showy partitions, made of such glass, can be used in construction of an additional room for different purposes.
One of the most interesting ideas is to produce doors for toilets, made of smart-glass. The idea is to keep the door under voltage when it’s free and turn it off, when the toilet is occupied. With this system of control it is always clear, if the toilet is occupied or not. Furthermore, this system is safe enough, because the glass itself is quite durable and it will stay mat without electricity.
